When we as a country give up our rights to those who infringe and tread on them out of grieving sympathy, weakens our nation as a whole.
No law abiding and worthy citizen of the United States should have to cower and coddle to the criminal element. Those citizens who live in fear of the criminal minded gangs and the lawmen who are on the front line of public defense know full well that should this country outlaws guns, only outlaws will have guns. All of us grieve for the children and innocent people who are violated and made to surrender their lives at the hands of villains pointing and shooting at innocent people. I grieve.
Do not send us out into the open unarmed, when it is our right to keep and bear arms. It is not the guns that are doing the killing of innocent children and we all know that.
What is the answer in my opinion? Tougher enforcement on the criminals who use guns! Punishment, to a degree that would deter any thought of using a gun to commit a violent crime!

ReplyDeleteI can't seem to understand and/or get over the fact that while America will not tolerate Terrorism in this country some of our politicians that "We The People" elected are trying to take away the very guns that help us to be stronger Americans? I'm an idealistic person and I believe that all people deserve the security of freedom to live their life without the threat of violence and oppression. I've been listening to the media and keeping up with the great gun debate.
DeleteThe Second Amendment was written for our country and it was written so that in future generations to come our citizens could form a militia and have the right to bear arms! "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Some high capacity magazine fed pistols and rifles such as the Beretta 92F series or the Colt AR-15 are the muskets of today. Ask those brave souls of the past history of our founding forefathers of this country what they'd have wanted us to have in the future, a "shotgun" or an "AR-15"?
Technology is what it is .... punish and BAN the criminal, NOT the guns!
We're so dedicated in the cause to stop Terrorism that we'll send our people on a global mission to stop Terrorism in other countries. I'm not being critical about that. But I am being critical about the stupidity of people believing that it's the gun that does the killing. I think it's ridiculous to think that we should take away any gun from any law abiding citizen of America. BAN the criminals, NOT THE GUNS!
In my opinion IF the National Rifle Association "3 rules of gun safety" were adhered to there would never be an accidental shooting. How could there be?
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
I read an article last year about two citizens who were at a Church gathering and looking at what they believed was an empty gun when the gun "accidentally" went off killing a young girl. It was one round and I'm not even sure what type of gun it was but apparently it was loaded. "Investigators have said Moises Zambrana was showing his gun in a small closet to another church member interested in buying a firearm." IF this country mandated every citizen to physically prove that they could safely and effectively handle, shoot and store firearms wouldn't we be stronger? Wouldn't we have less and less fatal gun accidents? I feel some of the politicians of U.S. (our country) is acting like parents who's trying to hide the cookies from the bratty little child that won't obey the parents. Let's hide the cookie jar from Little Johnny and that way he won't get to them. Kids are going to be looking for and finding them cookies, right? The violent criminal or criminally insane mental will always find a way to whatever type of gun or weapon they want to do harm with! STOP already, it's the Second Amendment!
I do not believe that any INTERNET classes for CCW is sufficient for new gun owners! Do people not understand the vicarious liability involved with the training and carrying of a concealed gun? I recently read an article about a "22yr old woman who has never touched a gun in her life" but obtaining her Arizona Concealed Carry Weapons Permit according to her it took "little more than a lunch break and a $100." Personally I hope nothing ever happens in which she might need to actually pull that gun to save herself but what if she does? What if it's you standing a few feet ....(read more at defusecrime.com)
